I developed the programs and products of Shift Your Mood ® to help you become aware of how moods create tension in your body. You will learn how to:
Release emotional tension, and shift to the source of your own love and wisdom.
Then you’re more likely to follow through on actions that will help you meet your goals.
Shift Your Mood combines mindfulness and body awareness with insights from positive psychology’s neuroscience of happiness.
You will discover how to heal from previous wounds, and follow through on your best intentions. Instead of feeling controlled by your current mood, you can expand your options: not only about what sort of mood you’d rather be in, but also a greater choice in how you live your life.
This has great implications for emotional healing and recovery from compulsive behaviors and obsessions. Yet Shift Your Mood is not just about healing; as you gain more emotional balance, you’ll begin to thrive in many areas of your life:

Jack felt hassled at work, yet was able to overcome the negative assumptions he had internalized, and learned to assert his needs more effectively.
Molly’s job as a dog-walker was in jeopardy because she couldn’t stop checking to make sure she had locked the door when she dropped off her dogs. As she became more mindful of her actions, she was able to feel the internal certainty that she had completed her task, and let it go.
Nathaniel was constantly criticized by his father, and no matter how successful he was, he always felt like an impostor. He was able to counter his perfectionism and get in touch with his true interests.

This workshop teaches the art of balance, inner harmony, and peace–the basis for spiritual awakening and creating a meaningful life. It’s also an opportunity to slow down and reflect in the midst of the holiday season.
Many of us yearn for a calmer, more centered life, yet with all the pressures we encounter every day, it can seem beyond our grasp. How can we successfully handle daily stress, tame our negative voices, and release ourselves from obsessive thinking? This workshop will teach the art of balance, inner harmony, and a path toward peace. This really is the basis for spiritual awakening, and for creating a meaningful life.
Following a near-fatal accident, Lori felt the presence of death several times. She had a strong desire to let go, yet there was a magnetic pull in her heart to stay embodied and to share the realized wisdom of living a heart-centered life.
Rik had an experience through his mindfulness practice of being “steeped in grace,” which inspired his book, Shift Your Mood, a guide on how to release emotional tension and shift to the source of your own love and inner wisdom.
We may genuinely believe that true happiness comes from our own inner resources, but how do we access this inherent wisdom? Using tools from positive psychology, along with eastern perspectives on awakening to the present moment, we will explore the link between western psychological understanding and spiritual realization. Combining mindfulness, body awareness, and insights from the new science of happiness, we will provide some easy and accessible practices to expand your ability to live more vibrantly, confidently, and at peace even when faced with challenging circumstances.
